In order to accomplish your financial goals you will sometimes have to make sacrifices. What sacrifices will you have to make? Well, that depends on your particular situation. Here are my and my wife’s sacrifices

Up until several months ago we were a one income family. My wife had resigned over a year ago to be a stay at home mom, a difficult job in itself. When we made the decision earlier this year to do whatever it takes to get out of debt, she took it upon herself to find work. She went back to her old company as an independent contractor. As for me I don’t recall a time that I have never worked, sometimes it seems that’s all I do. Nevertheless, we are focused and determined.

Right now I am writing this from a motel room. My work keeps me on the road 3-4 days a week. I get to see my children on weekends. It’s hard , bit like Dave Ramsey says ” Live like no one else, so that later, you can Live like no one else”.

My wife also sacrifices as our 3 year old goes to daycare instead of being home with his mother like my wife would prefer.

You have to make getting out of debt a priority and attack it like you have never done before. Get an extra job, sell something, do odd jobs etc. whatever extra money you can make to apply towards debt.

Do that and you will free up your income from the shackles of debt. Income that is not going to debt will be free to go to Giving, Saving , and Investing.

Regards
