My Blog is Evolving
As I continue to add content to my blog I am noticing a metamorphosis, not necessarily a change in topic, but rather a focus of direction. I started this blog to document my journey to financial independence. I initially had no idea how I was going to reach my goals. But over the course of several weeks a trend has emerged.
It has become obvious to me this blog will focus on 5 major topics. Each topic supplements the other and helps me move closer to my goal. The topics are:
Debt Elimination: It’s difficult to save and develop wealth if most of your income is going towards debt. You have to make the decision to completely eliminate debt.
Real Estate Investing: This is probably the fastest way to attain wealth. However I do not subscribe to the infomercial type of real estate investing. There are less risky and more sensible ways of investing than the typical “no money down” techniques.
Financial Investing: Investing your hard earned money into mutual funds, IRA’s, 401K, etc. Please avoid single stocks. The market data proves you’ll lose many more times than you’ll win.
Starting a Business: This is another way to attain wealth. There is a lot to cover on this topic. Real estate investing and owning your own business are sure fire ways to become financial independent.
Giving and Tithing: Christian teaching tells us that we are merely managers or stewards for God’s money. If we manage it correctly and give like we are supposed to than God will give us more to manage.
