$7200 Less Debt

September 8th, 2005 · 2 Comments

Getting out of debt is a big personal goal of mine. My wife and I have made a conscience effort since early March of this year to apply as much of our income towards debt. Since March we have eliminated $7200 in debt. We did this by recognizing that getting out of debt is critical to our building wealth success.

We created a budget and we stuck to it. Once in a while we mess up, but we are right back on it the next day. You too can get ot of debt if you make the conscience decision to do so.

Congrats! It’s always good to see people winning in finances. Are you a Dave Ramsey fan? I like his Friday episodes b/c they have callers who call in and get to scream, “We’re debt free!”

Sounds like that will be your family sooner than later! :-)

Scott, thank you. Yes, we are big fans of David Ramsey. We don’t get his radio show where we live in OK. I did see him live in early March. It was truly a life changing experience. Since then we have been diligently tithing and moving towards “debt free” and my wife taught the FPU at our church. He was on Oprah yesterday, it was good, hope you had a chance to see it.

    Regards
